Very widespread, the drawing was probably used during their first creation by many people, future artists or not, because it was accessible to everyone.
Mediums
« The medium I love most ? The pencil ! »
It is obviously not the only medium, but in my opinion, it’s one of the most accessible, compared to colored pencils, markers, pens, gouache or acrylic with a brush, watercolor… which all take more time to truly master.
It’s also the easiest to carry around, a significant quality when you want to create, express yourself, or simply keep busy anytime, anywhere.
It's finally the best ally of observational sketch, whether it is to practice drawing anatomy, poses, landscapes, buildings, plants or animals..., whether outdoors or in class.
« In my daily practice, according to my mood, I gladly stick to this raw line, or I'll finish my illustration at black marker. Sometimes I explore other mediums. »
